Meet the Doc
Dr. Kimberly Perryman, BSc, DC, CAC
Dr. Kimberly Perryman was first introduced to chiropractic when she was fifteen years old, and immediately fell in love with its natural approach to healthcare. She began her academic journey in Halifax, where she attended Dalhousie University for her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. During her undergraduate studies, she discovered animal chiropractic when her family dog severely injured his back. She witnessed the incredible therapeutic benefits of animal chiropractic and set the goal to one day provide the same services.
Dr. Perryman graduated from Dalhousie University in 2014, and eagerly began the next phase of her academic career at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. In 2018, she graduated summa cum laude from the Doctor of Chiropractic program, along with her certifications in Active Release Techniques, Contemporary Medical Acupuncture (McMaster University), and instrument assisted soft tissue therapy. She was excited to return to her hometown of Oro-Medonte where she is also a chiropractor for her “people practice” at Orillia Synergy Healthcare Group.
In September 2018, Dr. Perryman was accepted into the Veterinary Chiropractic Learning Centre for the Canadian Animal Chiropractic Certification Program. She completed over 220 hours of supervised instruction, along with required reading assignments, online examinations, and case presentations. Dr. Perryman graduated from the program with honours and successfully completed the College of Animal Chiropractors (CoAC) international competency board examinations in March 2019. She opened SMAC shortly after and has been loving the diversity of working with both her two-legged and four-legged patients.
In June 2025, Dr. Perryman returned to the Veterinary Chiropractic Learning Centre for the neuroanatomical animal acupuncture course. She is ecstatic to be able to provide a wide range of services for her canine and feline patients.
